The software lets you disconnect and re-connect your drives separately, through its system tray icon, so you don't have to keep them visible at all times if you don't need to. You can access this partition and manage your data or copy and move it, as if it were right on your hard drive. Once the application is connected, a new partition will appear in Windows Explorer, on which you can find all the data you have stored on that FTP server or cloud service. When you connect to a cloud service, you will have allow the application to access them, on your default web browser, which will pop up automatically. Mountain Duck lets you specify your own SSH private key, select a client certificate, choose an encoding and more. Selecting a service and typing in your username is sufficient to get started, but you can make some fine tweaks as well. The software works in the background, but you can bring up a compact user interface, with options for connecting to a server. The installation process involves only one click and it shouldn't take more than a minute to complete, even on slower machines. It is available for Windows and Mac OS X and it doesn't require any special tools or services.
